Confirmed from Pickell Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Well-maintained park with a playground and a walking/paved trail, plus basketball, baseball and tennis courts, plus an exercise class.

What runners say about Pickell Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (186 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“Plenty of parking and area is kept clean,I wish the batters box was more solid and not so dusty with loose field dirt/sand/clay.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Beautiful view of river walking the ridge.”

I hiked Cushetunk mountain on the blue and red trails. Very well marked trails and an excellent workout.

★★★★★ — Viddhu , Dec 2021

A nice local park with a pavilion, basketball, tennis, baseball/softball fields, and a decent playground. There is also a paved walking trail as well as access to hiking trails through the woods. There is a bathroom on site and the pavilion has a few bbq grills.

★★★★★ — David , May 2023

The restroom situation is a bit lacking, but this 7.2 hike is a bit more than beginner to intermediate level. Be sure to stop to admire the reservoir along the trails.

★★★★★ — Paul , Jul 2022

Beautiful park.. adjacent to the one of the most challenging hike, cushetunk ue and yellow starts here. The picnic place was very nice.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
