Confirmed from Piedmont Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“One of the best parts is the bathroom- nowadays you can't count on a bathroom but it was open and clean.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 13 mentions

“There are some beautiful paths alongside a creek as well as a Japanese style garden, big lawn areas and tennis courts.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 5 mentions

“There's a nice little playground, but if the little ones get bored or you're there with the dog, it's nice to walk around.”

This a small gem of a park. I rated 5 for the following reasons. For a small town park, this has a lot to offer. A beautiful, scenic lawn for reading a book on a blanket below a large tree, or sitting on a bench.

This is one of my favorite local parks to visit. It is beautiful with many places to settle in for a nice picnic or hanging out. It is never too crowded and the people that go there tend to be friendly. There is a playground for young children as well with a public restroom that is pretty clean.

★★★★★ — Cassidy , Jun 2021

Had a really good time here. The trail has some steep parts but it was paved and easy to navigate- even while social distancing. There is plenty of free nearby parking and enough shade to make for a cool break if it is a warm sunny day.

Perfect place for a picnic! There's a nice little playground, but if the little ones get bored or you're there with the dog, it's nice to walk around. There are some beautiful paths alongside a creek as well as a Japanese style garden, big lawn areas and tennis courts.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
