Confirmed from Pinchot State Forest -Thornhurst Tract's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I started this trail 830am Saturday and ended the 26 miles on just the Pinchot trail by 300pm Sunday! This is an excellent single track trail for beginners to experienced backpackers! The trail is very well blazed in orange every couple of hundred feet making it extremely easy to follow!

Great beautiful area to walk hike and become one with nature. White tail deer. Black bears, halks eagles, squrils ect. to view along the trail. It's a moderate easy trail. Remember to wear orange during all hunting seasons.

This state first has a lot to offer for a small forest. Great trails, overlooks, small but beautiful falls. What's not to like?

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 18 mentions

“Very nice waterfall at the end of the blue and orange trails, with a deep pool at the bottom.”
