Confirmed from Thomas Darling Preserve at Two-Mile Run's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Thomas Darling Preserve at Two-Mile Run

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (94 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“Very beautiful walk through forest and wetland, with boardwalks anywhere that might get muddy.”

Beautiful hike and would recommend, but with 2 caveats. First, the trail can be swampy so wear boots. Second, one of the neighbors was repeatedly shooting a gun as I walked on the portion of the trail that is adjacent to their property.

Absolutely beautiful with practically untouched snow! Gorgeous scenery of trees, lakes, rivers and animal prints. Of course 2.5 miles takes a lot longer in 12inches of snow! One point of caution is that the boards are quite narrow and in some places quite slippery, and all hard to see with snow.

★★★★★ — Katie , Dec 2020

What an incredible place! Hiked the entire 2.2 loop, which took us quite awhile. Tons to look at and explore. We saw lots of wildlife (newt, turtle) and tons of different plants, trees, etc. Never saw another person the entire time we were there. Highly recommend a visit here.

Nature Walks and / or hunting. Alot of wide life in this place. I saw tracks for deer, coyotes. Bear, birds, rabbits, etc.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
