Confirmed from Pioneer Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Recreational area featuring a creek, playground and baseball field.
What runners say about Pioneer Park
“Such a beautiful place to walk or take your children to play.”
Long trails to walk, pleasant the only thing bad that was a lot of insects(mosquitoes, flies etc.)
Nice little park, mostly flat walks in a few trail offerings. Creek easy access right off walkway. Gets a little busy on weekends.
Such a beautiful place to walk or take your children to play. There are 2 or 3 play areas. With slides & play areas. They also have restrooms, grills & a couple shelter areas, a tennis court, basketball court & baseball/soccor fields.
love taking the kids here they have a blast plenty of room for them to run an they can't get enough of playing in the creek!! Nice area too a great family environment, its not being overrun by little wanna be thugs trying to threaten your kids or damage personal or government property like other places in Scuvington !!
Trail conditions & character
“They have let the fenced in dog area go though, as most of it has fallen over.”
“Such a beautiful place to walk or take your children to play.”
“I really think the restrooms need to be officially opened closer to the beginning of April since there are families with small children playing sports.”
Plan your run at Pioneer Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
