Confirmed from Doe Run Lake's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“Definitely a place to check out for fishing, kayaking or just needing some peace and quiet.”

This place is my sanctuary. It's like a piece of the country that is close to the city. I have been coming to this lake for the lives of 3 different dogs. Good hiking trails, lots of different spots for fishing. Peaceful and beautiful.

This was a great find in the Northern Kentucky area. We were able to complete this 3 mile hike with two medium sized dogs and a 4 year old! Trails are easy to navigate in most areas, with some especially difficult terrain. Also be prepared to cross one stony creek. Overall very well maintained, can’t wait to go back.

My daughters and I love breaking up our week by getting outside for a hike. This trail was scenic and easy to navigate. There are multiple bridges that make for a great spot to take a cool picture. We didn’t fish or venture out onto the lake. Thus, we can’t provide any additional information on canoeing or fishing.

Awesome place to go fishing and kayaking. There is a trail that goes around the lake. Most of the time it is passable, other times you could be turning around or finding an alternative route.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
