Confirmed from Pioneer Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Kid-friendly, peaceful park for picnics, featuring a playground, grills and wooded areas.

“Very beautiful and quiet as well!”
“I don't play disc golf but there are usually quite a few people playing that as well once the weather warms up and seems to be fun for all ages!”
Sterling is a treasure trove of exquisitely well kept parks, but Pioneer Park on the town’s west edge is a sprawling, multi-faceted gem that is likely one of all of Northern Colorado’s best kept secrets.
Excellent playgrounds for kids of all ages. Great condition, well kept park with clean restrooms. Ample parking and walking paths. Great stop for a 3 year old on a road trip. The only decision is choosing the barn/tractor or treehouse/animal styled playground.
Beautiful park! It has two different sections with nice playgrounds, two good sized pavilions, one that has 3 separate sections for events and you can reserve the pavilions or a section of it if you want, the third section of the park doesn't have a playground but there's picnic tables and benches throughout the whole…
Fun park with lots of options on what to do. I enjoy parking off to the side to have lunch and walking the nature trail. My children really enjoy both of the playgrounds and exploring what is in the little stream that runs through it. Also is a nice place for birthday or parties as there are multiple pavilions.
