What a beautiful trail! I remember getting lost the last time I went, but I would recommend staring instead from the trailhead in Lake Pleasant Regional Park from N. Park Road (vs the North Trailhead- which can be super confusing). From the N.
Easy trail and some great views. I really want to see a new bridge to add to the hike. Folks picnic at the end right at the water. No tables or benches as an fyi. There are bathrooms at the trailhead and a map. Quiet place and plenty of shade at the water's edge.
A great trail to go with younger kids, we took both our young girls and they enjoyed it. The trail is not hard and the elevation does not change that much. You start with a great view of Pipeline Canyon and you also get to cross the bridge at Pipeline Cove which is less than a mile away from the southern trailhead.
A great hike at Lake Pleasant. We started at Pipeline Canyon Day use & trailhead to Cottonwood Day use & trailhead to Yavapai lookout and back to Pipeline trailhead for 6.2 miles. Great views with a bit of elevation gain.
