Confirmed from Pismo Beach Walkway & Boardwalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Popular beach with a pier and shops, where surfers love the waves and kids play volleyball.

A great place for a family walk! It's atmospheric and a great place to spend time! There are cafes with delicious food and coffee! The best surprise is lots of free parking and public toilets!

Pismo Beach was an unexpected stop along my drive down the coast. I saw the pier from the distance and had to make my way down. There was a lot of free parking. The beach was clean, and there were several people put cleaning and repairing the boardwalk. There is a playground on the beach.

Free parking off Addie St. Great views and access to numerous restaurants and hotels. Restaurant pricing is all over the map in a brief distance from affordable to what, that's crazy! Wear good shoes as the wood plank portions are irregular and rough. I would not recommend this for a wheelchair.

Pismo Beach has changed a lot, for the good. The Beach pier it self is new, clean, safe, and ,"CLEAN BATHROOMS. There are newer stores, and cleaner streets. The surrounding hotels are beautiful, costly but beautiful and worth it. You can stay literally on the beach with the pier outside your Lani.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
