Confirmed from Poenisch Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Small, quiet park with a picnic table featuring a view of the water and seashells.
What runners say about Poenisch Park

“Super beautiful area that is secluded and makes you feel one with nature.”

This is my favorite little park on Ocean Drive in Corpus Christi. Why? Because I find great sea shells here. Also, the view is great and sunrise, and you can get a great but distant view of downtown. There is a bench for sitting that is above the beach.
Walked to the water down a short, steep hill and walked along the crushed shell sand. Took a few pictures. It was clean and smelled just like most beaches smell. It was a nice and quaint little place.
On of the quieter parkes on ocean dr. The last park before getting to Ennis Joslyn. Has a picnic table and shaded area. Also you can walk down to the bay. On a small but perfect beach front.
Relaxing little spot for quiet time. It's asking a trail and there's a table overlooking the water. I was pleasantly surprised.

“It can be a bit steep when you walk down to the beach as there is no maintained path.”
“Sometimes there is almost no sand because it has shifted behind the homes to either side of the park, and you have a beach line of broken concrete.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
