Confirmed from Poor House Farm Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Open 24hScenic

Sprawling county park offering a stocked lake, multiple event pavilions, disc golf & mid-1800s barn.

What runners say about Poor House Farm Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (981 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 14 mentions

“Beautiful view on top looking south west across the apple orchard.”

Excellent park with plenty of parking. So many things to do here. We hiked along the lake and followed the disc golf path and the mountain bike trails. Some areas have roughly 100 feet of elevation gain. Saw some fish in the pond. Beautiful view on top looking south west across the apple orchard.

I was at this park, while visiting Martinsburg, West Virginia. It is a vast park, with streams, a lake and multiple playgrounds. I was attracted to this park mainly because Ziplining was advertised. I was unfortunately disappointed by the Ziplining.

Love everything about this park. Lots of open fields and hidden free running obstacle course. This park seriously has a little bit of everything to feed that nature bug that needs feeding. From frisbee golf and baseball to jobbing around the pond or playing volleyball in the sand.

A good place to enjoy the nature. You can go with your family, friends... Of you like, you can practice diversity sport, walking, run, fishing, ride bicycle, eat bbq, have a picnic. you will love really this place. And the lake, the tree, the sun, all places here are wonderful

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 17 mentions

“Nice views, stocked pond, Plenty spots to fish, walking trail, and so much more”
