Confirmed from Possum Woods Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A good hike. The name of the park on the sign says something different then possum woods but it is listed as that on the map. Its a quick short trail threw the woods 1-1.5 miles depending on route you take. Trail goes high on bluffs over looking meramec river.

This is one of our favorite places to come enjoy nature! Easy trails, great creek access, beautiful woods, and a convenient pavilion for gathering. Possum Woods Conservation area and Emmennegger Nature Park are basically the same place.

We came here for a rock and crystal show that my daughters love. It was a very cool place with lots to do. Since we came here for the show we have come back to walk the trails. Good place to go.

Great park to relax at for a while. Fishing is good if you're up for some river fishing! The remodeled pavilion is great for hosting events, and the hiking trails are very well maintained!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
