Confirmed from Powell Creek Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Waterside preserve on 77 acres offering hiking & biking amid native flora & fauna.
What runners say about Powell Creek Preserve
“Great parking, clear, well maintained paths.”
“Beautiful park for hiking, jogging, nature photography https://youtu.”
“Quiet and wonderful with a lot of Nature and fish activty.”
Beautiful peaceful varied trail around bodies of water. Dogs not allowed. Tons of birds, wildlife (we saw squirrels, bunnies, tortoises etc.) different options to extend length of hike. Great parking, clear, well maintained paths. Will definitely make this a repeat hike!
Nice place to walk and look at nature. There isn't any restrooms and you can not bring your dog. Other then that there are alot of birds and turtles to enjoy.
Absolutely beautiful! Nice dirt/ stone path, very level. Your walk will take you around a beautiful pond. We did only one loop and it took a half hour walking slow. Free
Nice mile walk. Only complaint would be all the no pet signs, poop all over the walking path.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
