Confirmed from Probst Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

A great short walking trail. The path is gravel downgrade and upgrade not wheelchair accessible. See picture for length of trail. Was a very well thought out and built Park. Showing some age now but still a good place to visit. Has mature trees other foliage even saw a black snake.

★★★★★ — Uncle , Mar 2021

I've always enjoyed this park. It's really a small path, but it offers a nice change of pace from the larger, more crowded parks nearby. I have many great memories here from growing up in the neighborhood across the way years ago!

★★★★★ — Brandon , Oct 2025

Use the parking lot at the start. Gravel t rail with a little bit of elevation change. Basically a rim trail around a little hollow with a creek and small lake. There are a couple of spots to stop and sit, a gazebo and an overlook.

★★★★☆ — Andrew , Dec 2022

The pictures I am sharing of the park are actually from the parking lot. There is no sidewalk leading to the park entrance and so you should go to the parking lot park and there is a trail from the parking lot.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
