Confirmed from Promised Land State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Promised Land State Park is a very peaceful park in the Pocono area. It has beautiful sights, especially in the Autumn season with the changing of the leaves colors! There is a camping section and restrooms available. They also have a pavilion, playground, beach area, and a few courts.

Very nice clean secluded camp site. Stayed at Pickerel point, which was really nice with great views of sunrise and sunset facing the lake on both sides. Bathrooms were clean, only complaint was not all the bathrooms had hot water, thus subtracting star.

Rented a cottage for a few nights which was exactly as described. No frills, electric, bunk beds, picnic table inside and out, a heater and ceiling fan. The bathhouse was about 200 feet from our cottage which was convenient. The bathhouse was well maintained and the shower water was HOT!

We loved or spot for camping. Quiet campground. The park offers a lot of activities, including hiking trails, and boating, plus a beach on a big lake. There are many campgrounds within Promised Land. The park Rangers were friendly and came around to caution all on the bear situation.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
