Confirmed from Tobyhanna State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a lake with a beach (no lifeguard) and picnic tables.

A beautiful park, I came in mid-october when the leaves started to turn, Gorgeous is all I can say. I parked by Boatrental Loop and there's alot of amenities over here. Van life approved
Peaceful, serene, very easy pull-off. Paddle-Boat and canoe rentals. Hiking path around lake. Safe. Bathrooms. Free admission.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!! no joke this place deserves more than five stars 🤩 a great place to go no matter the season nor weather you can walk run and or just frolic lol we saw two different Bever dams no bevers unfortunately but we did see lots of evidence of them being there.
Such a beautiful park! There’s a huge lake in the middle that you can swim in or kayak. There’s also a trail all around the lake with great views and places to sit or hang out at. My friends and I came here for a short walk and we had a lot of fun!

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
