Confirmed from Prospect Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

My 1year old and 3 year old absolutely love this park! Yes, the are a bit on the smaller side for this park but, there are baby swings and a smaller play area for younger kids. However! Your littles will definitely want to check out the tower of slides on the bigger play structure.

Awesome park hidden in a quiet little neighborhood. Major slides, lots to climb, trails to ride bikes, courts to play ball, tables for a picnic, and plenty of open fields to play. The only reason I see for not giving it a 5 star rating would be that there didn't appear to be any bathrooms! 😯.

Big park with a tall slide structure, like 3 or 4 tall slides. Lots of space and structures to run to and climb on. Large field on one side shade trees and benchs on the other side

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Prospect Hill Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
  • At the trailheadrestrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
