Confirmed from Prospect Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Lakeside park with picnic areas and trails for hiking and biking, plus geese and eagles.
What runners say about Prospect Park
“Beautiful park with running and biking path right next to lakes and rivers ,playground and basketball courts.”
Beautiful parts. Really big. Lots to do. Playground parks, bike trails, hiking trails two parking lots all kinds of stuff to do for the family. Gazebos if you need to rent out a spot for a party. A lot of people visited the park. I was there all day and didn't get harassed by anybody which was nice. I'm going.
If you're ever in the Wheat Ridge area and you want to play some pickleball, or walk the dog, go for a bike ride, let the kids get out some extra energy, have a picnic, or just relax and watch the wildlife and water flow by... This is a place to do it...
This is such a delightful little park. I recommend going by bike because then you experience the full glory of the park and the surrounding areas. One of the nicest parts of this park is just wandering around and seeing all the hidden trails nearby.
A wonderful place to get away from the noise of the city for a few. There's a cute pathway through one of the lakes that take you through tall cattails and leads to even more serenity and a nice sitting area towards the back of the park ^ ^ And it all loops around if you follow along the trails, so you can't get too…

“Clear Creek and several lakes along the paved and dirt paths.”
“The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I feel like the lake shore could be cleaned more often and their are porta-pottys due to COVID that could use some maintenance.”
