Confirmed from Wheat Ridge Greenbelt Youngfield Entrance's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Wheat Ridge Greenbelt Youngfield Entrance

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (215 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Trails are pretty clean and very well kept up thanks to the city of wheat ridge workers and a few volunteers- constantly out there working hard to keep things top notch.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“This little nature spot is great for beautiful walks and fishing or bicycle trails.”

Been going here since I was a child. This little nature spot is great for beautiful walks and fishing or bicycle trails. The green belt is so serene and tucked in the suburb city so securely you almost forget where you are. It’s huge and kid and pet friendly.

Great park with lots of space for walking your dogs or a baby stroller. Bikers also use this space a lot but are all very cautious and forewarning when they come up behind you. Beautiful spot, I will definitely be back!

★★★★★ — Danny , Aug 2023

Great spot to access bike trail. Big parking lot. Riding west to Golden thru Coors manufacturing along clear creek there are wonderful views of the mountains. Around 10 miles to start of lookout mtn climb from here.

★★★★★ — Mike , Sep 2022

Hard to find initially but really worth it. This is a beautiful path with lovely nature throughout. Note that one has to be driving north to properly turn right into the trail head parking lot (there is no legal left hand turn if you’re headed south and try to turn into the trail head).

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
