We had a great 4 mile hike, going on the orange trail to Bear Rock, then across on the yellow dot trail and blue dot trail to Lucy's overlook and Tripod Rock, then back via the summit on the blue trail. We were just able to make out the NYC skyline from the summit. The glacial erratics are definitely worth the visit!
We took the left side of the blue trail up to the orange trail, which connects back to the start of the blue trail. It was 5 miles and took a total of 2.5 hours, including stopping at each attraction along the way. There are a TON of man made rock formations and bridges along the way which I loved.
By far, the Pyramid Mountain trails are the most exhilarating to navigate through, and provide the most shade during the sunniest of the days and have one of the most diverse trail topologies in the neighborhood.
Family and dog friendly place to hike. The 100 steps part of the trail was nice. There's also a waterfall. Got there at around 9am so parking wasn't a problem and the trail wasn't so busy. But people who got there later just parked by the side of the road.
