Confirmed from Quartz Mountain State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

It's my favorite park by far. I've tent camped, rented a cabin, and day hiked. The staff is beyond knowledgeable and so friendly. The park is so clean and well kept! I feel very safe out here because the employees are constantly driving around and monitoring the park.

Bring water! Although in the 70s, the sun on the rocks heat up quickly and little shade. We did summit trails and the scenery and landscape was spectacular. Well kept trails with just enough markers to keep you pointed in the right direction. The park facilities were very clean and well maintained.

Beautiful state park, so different from my part of the state. Lots of great hiking and wonderful views. All the facilities I've checked out have been excellent. There are some hiking trails that could be marked better but I was told they are working on that. The lake was very low when I was there I'm October of 2023.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 19 mentions

“I cannot remember the name of the trail offhand, but there is a short moderate rock scrambling trail up to a great overlook that is almost breath-taking!”
