Good place to learn about the western cattle trail & its short history , while looking at the mountains and air force base
This is a quick stop for a history lesson about the Great Western Cattle Trail. NO facilities, but there is paved pull off parking. Can be here less than a minute and continue on down the highway. For Geocachers, there is a Geocache at this location.
A stop on the Great Cattle Trail and learn a lot of history about the family of the area. You can also watch the airplane take off from the air force base. As a good pull off area.
I was aware of the Chisholm Trail cattle route but didn't know about this one. I can't imagine trying to drive cattle all that way.
