Confirmed from Red Rock Trails' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Red Rock Trails
“Beautiful place to go walk and spend some peaceful time with your self or the fam”
Love this place wish the county/city invested more time and money into these trails
I only got there near sunset so didn’t have a chance yet to walk the entire trails. There was a herd of horses on the trail which was a surprise as I had not known of this before I brought my dog. There were also other dogs and hikers there that arrived near sunset. Luckily the dogs were on leash.
While there is evidence that this area is frequented by other walkers, runners and MTB enthusiasts I've never seen more than a couple during my visits here. It's easily possible to go and see no one else. If you're of a type that prefers to walk alone on the prairie this is the place.
Beautiful country and well marked trails. I didn't see a soul while I was out there so it's a good place to get away and just enjoy nature!

“However it's been tough to find hikes local to Gillette, and I can only spend a couple of days driving out to the big far away stuff like devil's Tower and the Black hills.”

- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
