Good parking, decent bathroom and access to some of the most beautiful and engaging trails in the Cache Creek Wilderness. Also cool for taking a dip in the north fork of the Cache Creek. Had a lot of fun on a backpacking trip.
I've been coming to this spot for over 20yrs with my family to swim in the water and picnic together. My stepdad passed away last year and this was his favorite spot so in honor of him we came and did a memorial service we gathered around the water saying our favorite memories of him.
Very surprised with the excellent system of trails. We hiked 7.5 miles to Lower Lake (near the Transfer Station.)
Would highly recommend this hike especially if you have a CAT that loves outdoors. Our baby loved it and she walked the whole time and wanted more 😂😂. Wind was cool and sun wasn't beating too much. There are restrooms available at the start of the hike.
