We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Redwood Grove Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Redwood Grove Trailhead
The pictures of redwoods isn't truly part of the trail. They can be if you enter the redwood entrance, by main park entry or by walbash/prospect street. The trail is distinct, it doesn't enter the carbon canyon park.
Very nice easy hike down into the Grove, and very peaceful area to relax in.
Easy access in a community area. Can park on the street and walk in. Redwoods trees were amazing. Small trail nearby the creek as well. Good for spending an hour and a half walking seeing some critters and redwoods trees.
