We had a wonderful experience hiking the Redwood Grove Trail at Carbon Canyon Regional Park! The access is very easy — the trailhead is located right inside the park. The hike itself is short (~15 minutes each way) and very family-friendly — perfect for young kids and casual walkers.
What a beautiful little forest in a nice park. The redwoods look great and it really is much cooler than the rest of the park. Loved our walk here.
Nestled among towering redwoods, this hidden gem offers an unexpected escape from the everyday. The moment you arrive, silence wraps around you—a rare gift in today’s world. A short, easy hike leads deeper into the forest, where ancient trees create a cathedral of quiet majesty.
You can park in the park and walk the trail to the grove but there is an entrance fee. $5 weekends $3 weekdays. You can park in the neighborhood and walk in the back way to skip the fee. We did it both ways.
