Confirmed from Brea Sports Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Brea Sports Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (364 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 11 mentions

“The park is clean, has restrooms, parking is free, and it has a nice little trail to walk.”

🌳 shaded & cool 9 mentions

“The play area looks a bit small and doesn’t have any swings, but has a good shade that helps to come during the afternoon when there are a lot of sunlight.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“When we visited, there weren’t any games or activities going on, so it wasn’t busy at all — very peaceful.”

This place has three kids play area. The play area is divided for children 2-5 years of age and 5-12 years of age. The play area for 5-12 years of age isn’t difficult for toddlers to enjoy as well.

Brea Sports Park is a well-kept and clean space with a nice play area and walking paths. When we visited, there weren’t any games or activities going on, so it wasn’t busy at all — very peaceful. I was especially impressed with how clean the bathrooms were for a public park.

★★★★☆ — Chris , Apr 2025

A nice place to go for a walk or running. I usually go in the mornings and enjoy the sun under the trees. It's quiet and peaceful. Sometimes during weekends there would be a game in one of the fields and you can see the little kids play.

★★★★★ — Kira , May 2019

It's about 10 years old and it's pretty good. AAA/Majors baseball field, Juniors or full size baseball field, softball field, football field, two or three soccer fields, one covered playground, five batting cages, public restrooms, basketball court (maybe two?), walking path around the entire park, free parking.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🅿️ Trailhead parking 13 mentions

“Doing our best to ignore the wet ground and all the cars driving through the parking lot or parking near us with some guy just sitting there checking out my friend or me maybe ?”
