Confirmed from Richard Morrissey Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Richard Morrissey Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (81 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Review Date: June 27th, 2016 A rather nice park located between North Pekin, IL and Pekin, IL. As with a lot of thing in life, we drive by many places without ever knowing what they are. This is one of those places til recently. Obviously, it’s a park but it offers a bit more than meets the eye.

★★★★★ — Joshua , Apr 2022

Beautiful park! 2 large picnic shelters available to reserve if you're having a gathering. Never very busy, so you most likely wouldn't have to reserve a shelter. I always do just to be safe. Shelters have outlets so you can plug in radios, cookers, etc. Bathrooms are spacious and clean.

They had a real nice lights display My extended family have their reunion and other events there. Not a place for buses ad the road has some seriously sharp turns and hills.

The shark needs fixed, and there is a wasp hive outside the ladies restroom. Very big beautiful park. Never crowded, and lots of shade. Kids love it

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
