Confirmed from Richmond Parks and Recreation's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Richmond Parks and Recreation

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (1,003 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Well-kept grounds, spring water taps, tennis courts, colorful playground, splash pad, disc golf, and plenty of picnic pavilions.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“This park has breath taking scenery and a beautiful water fountain as well in a small pond!”

Richmond has a nice playground for the children. Its large and i like that there is a separate toddler area, so the littles aren't getting run over by the bigs.

★★★★★ — Joni , Jul 2020

In Richmond's Glenn Miller park, a very lovely rose garden and a big, beautiful sculpture Madonna of the Trail -- one of 12 erected by NSDAR as a memorial to the pioneer mothers of covered wagon days and placed across the nation on The National Old Trails Road.

★★★★★ — Carolyn , Jun 2023

Very nice took a walk along the trails while my granddaughter had her golf lesson. Very relaxing! We should be proud of our Community park that we have.

★★★★★ — Tina , Jun 2021

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
