Confirmed from Riley Creek Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Riley Creek Conservation Area
“The spring greens are gorgeous, the summer fullness is evident, and I can't wait for the colors of fall!”
“Really great on hot days as you get a lot of shade from the sun.”
“The trail was nice and quiet and had branching paths although in the middle of the forest it was hard to tell where you were going.”
One of my very favorite places to hike. It is so serene here. I particularly enjoy it in summer and fall as it is a fabulous escape into a world that feels so far away from the city. The forest surrounds and you feel hidden away! I highly recommend!
Beautiful wooded trail. I'm surprised an area like this exists in the middle of these huge housing neighborhoods. The trail was nice and quiet and had branching paths although in the middle of the forest it was hard to tell where you were going.
Loved finding this gem! This fall I looked at the trail map for awhile in order to plan how I'd see the whole park/trail. You have to be strategic & have a plan or you'll easily end up going in circles. All in (with some repeat sections), my hike was 3.5 miles. Looking forward to checking it out this winter!
Great peaceful nature trails to walk through a wooded area along Riley Creek bed. Really great on hot days as you get a lot of shade from the sun.

“That being said, the walk had varying levels of elevation, which made it very cool to hike back over trails you may have walked before from the opposite direction.”
