Confirmed from River View Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about River View Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (690 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 6 mentions

“Peaceful place to just sit and relax as you watch the river flow by.”

Lovely but small . A relaxing place . A walking trail for exercise . On Tuesday and Saturday they have a local farmers market to shop for fresh produce, homemade goods and meats . A historic railroad bridge runs next to the property and the Kentucky river runs parallel with the walkway .

It was raining off and on most of the day. Some intervals of rain were fast & furious coming down. Decided to pull over, eat and take a break. The parking was plenty, FREE.. A fairly large metal awning with picnic tables, located in the parking lot has FREE WiFi hotspot! Great idea. There are 2 portable bathrooms.

It's a small park, but the trees are really nice and it has a walking path along the river. There are some art pieces throughout the park and some signs about the history of the river and the stone walls and bridges along the path. The river was muddy when I went, and it seems to be muddy most of the time.

Glad that we stumbled across this park. It offers a nice trail along the river with plenty of scenery including art murals, sculptures, a old railroad trestle, and a laidback groundhog that didn't go far the whole time that we were there. Nice time had by myself, husband, and our two teenagers!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
