Confirmed from River Villa & Jan Schau Wildflower Walk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring cleared walking trails alongside natural wildlife and colorful wildflower blooms.
What runners say about River Villa & Jan Schau Wildflower Walk
“I went too late in the year for flowers, but it was still very beautiful.”
Nice walking area right on the river. There's definitely some nice flowers to see back here, even at this time of year. Could be cleaned up in some places. The best access here is the south end of the parking lot at the Comstock Community Center.
I submitted an edit, but currently maps says the entrance is a random spot along the road. Pull into the Comstock community center and to the back of the parking lot there is a Pavilion with a few picnic tables. There are a couple different trails leading away from that point.
Hard to find parking. Best to park at the Senior Center if allowed. Quiet area with mowed trails. Lots of wildflowers, butterflies and wildlife.
Not always well maintained, but offers a nice walk almost any time of year. Nice river views and all different kinds of plant life.
