Confirmed from River Walk and Bike Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Downtown-area park featuring waterfront views and paths built for walking and biking.
What runners say about River Walk and Bike Trail
“It was amazing to walk this walk a few weeks ago, I had tons of fun and its a great view of the river, the ocean water here is amazing.”
This picture was taken from the River front walk in Louisville, KY when I was there. The buildings on the other side of this Ohio River is located in Indiana. This river also separates Ohio from Kentucky on the Cincinnati side. It's a long walk by the river and it gets chilly in the afternoon.
The trail has a few points where you can stop and step out towards the water and have an enjoyable view. We took a Lime scooter down a big portion of trail and came back when our scooter was at half battery. It was pretty and peaceful; plus there were some bench swings to take a rest on.
I love the River Walk. It is so uplifting to ride down the river on my electric bike and see all the families and children enjoying themselves.
We patked in the Kentucky science cemter lot which was $8 to park. Given we were only there an hour I would have found somewhere else to park. We originally went towards Lamar park and chose the trail closest to the river which was not maintained and had me wondering about the trail but on the way back we saw there…
