Confirmed from Riverfront Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
River park, with a playground and a paved walking path.
What runners say about Riverfront Park
“Beautiful morning walk, clean and safe”
“Plenty of parking and a great view of the old mill dam on the upstream end and downstream the river all the way to Route 1.”
“Quiet park running about a mile beside the river.”
The trail has been cleaned an new trees have been planted. Great viewing. Picnic friendly. Nice shade an playground. Awesome river!
It is a long paved trail along the river. If planning to visit from the Municipal Pool end (westernmost), there is plenty of parking at the designated parking lot or at the pool. You can also access the trail from the Easternmost end. Playground is in the center; park near the post office if this is important.
Beautiful park in the middle of Laurel city, great hiking paths and rolling waterfalls over small boulders!
Great environment with animals and a creek. Quiet and peaceful with good walking trail.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
