Confirmed from Riverhills Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

On the banks of the Hillsborough River, Riverhills Park is a beautiful spot to take in Old Florida flora and fauna. The boardwalk provides excellent photo opportunities as well as a good site for bird watching. There is easy access to a boat launch with parking nearby.

A nice little park in the Temple Terrace area with a fantastic view of the Hillsborough River! I just wish the board walk is longer so one could savor the view! Perfect for a late afternoon walk!

Small but beautiful park with a boardwalk along Hillsborough River is a lovely place to watch ibis and other birds with an occasional alligator. There's a play ground for the kids too.

This is the best park I found in the Tampa/Chapter Hill area. Boardwalk and walking path, Boat launch, fishing areas, lots of shade, picnic tables, nice neighborhood, dog friendly. Watch out for alligators coming across from the little island.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
