Confirmed from Pine Mountain Trail, West's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🪧 well-marked 3 mentions

This was a well marked trail! We went up the boot trail, which I believe was marked with blue. It was labeled moderate but was a more easy as it was uphill, but was dirt and packed with minimal obstacles. The view at the summit was nice with a good photo op!

I was in town for a business visit. I look for trails nearby where work takes me. I am from Colorado... I saw this trail right around the corner from the hotel I was staying decided to take an evening walk to see if I could check out the sunset. I was really pleased with this trail system.

The trail is roughly 1.2 to 1.3 Miles from parking area up the Pine Mountain depending on which trail you take. The blue which is shorter more strenuous, or the red which slightly longer and moderate. The two trail split not very far from parking lot but meet again before the top.

The view is amazing. I visited from Texas and I absolutely loved the scenery. The hike up was a intense. Be prepared to have a constant incline but your views are amazing all the way up. This is a public area so you will always see people passing you but never crowded.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
