Confirmed from Riverview Farm Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Walking trails & large playground, along with picnic areas, a skate park & a seasonal sledding hill.

This park is great for walks/hiking with wide and flat paved trails. Dog friendly. This maybe the cleanest park in Newport news. Restrooms and water fountains are also available. The kids playground is large with grills and seating.
Decent, flat trails for elders within Riverview Farms main area. Lot of trees & flowers about. Newer Flax Mill trail does have slight sloping trails but manageable. Some seating is available near rivers edge areas = great views.
Riverview Farm Park is GREAT for families. (There is currently some construction going on but nothing that should be a problem). It’s still open to the public. All of it is family friendly / wheel chair accessible, stroller friendly/ pet friendly but pets must be on a leash).
Absolutely loved this trail! The combination of the ocean view and colorful fall trees made it feel magical. It’s an easy walk with plenty of spots to stop and take in the scenery. Perfect for a relaxing afternoon hike! 🌊🍂

“I also like how the parking lot has two roads between them for walkers to get on, making it less of a hazard to walk around cars.”
