Confirmed from Riverwalk Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Playground, splash pad and riverfront park featuring a boardwalk, kayak rentals and picnic facilities.

This is a great park to go walk your dog on your leash. You can rent kayaks go out into the bay. If you’re in this area make sure you stop there and go on a kayak or walk your dog. Sometimes I have some festivals. There’s also a great place to wake up early and go to the sunrise and watch it come over the the bridge.
I have been here many, many times with my dog. If you go early in the morning, you may see some dolphins swimming!! So cool! There are kayak rentals available, picnic tables, a kid's play fountain with water, an outdoor shower, public ramp for kayak or canoes and public restrooms that are clean.
Riverwalk park is such a nice recreation area in Port Orange. You can go there to work out, walk, ride your 🚲, you can take your children here, they have a nice playground area and splash park!!
Great park for all ages. I love taking my dog for a walk here. The kids playground and splash park where huge hits a couple years ago but my kids outgrew them. But they are well kept up and very clean. So are the restrooms. It's my favorite park in the area.

Plan your run at Riverwalk Park
The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
