“Beautiful location and great spots for pictures!”
We had heard about it and wanted to check it out. It was a Boy Scot Camp and retreat center before it was acquired by Rock County. The facilities are all still there and would still be great for a retreat center. There is a new playground that is quite nice. There are also nice hiking trails.
Pretty park! Hopefully, there will be signs and maps/trail maps easily accessible at some point, because it's not clear where things are at this point to someone who hasn't visited before :)
Some new playground stuff for kids, lots of hiking. It's odd, though, lots of unused buildings/cabins/camp counselor quarters from when it was a Boy Scout camp. Hoping the county finds some use for some of the buildings.
although no camping they have wonderful shower bathrooms that are heated. cross country ski trails and very nice rental pavillions one for indoor venues and one outdoor open air pavilion with a fire pit and lots of benches around it. Nice trails to walk on for beginner and intermediate hikers
