Confirmed from Rockford Rotary Forest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Rockford Rotary Forest Preserve
“There is a well kept picnic area with grills but it's not very clear how to get there with a car.”
“The main paved path winds through a beautiful green forest.”
The main paved path winds through a beautiful green forest. Small patches of meadow can be seen in clearings. I definitely want to visit again in the Fall because the colors would probably be gorgeous.
There was a tree down preventing us from going all the way in. There appeared to be smaller equestrian geared trails near the entrance but they did not look maintained enough for walking a small dog
This is a little Hidden Gem! I've visited many forest preserves and this is one of my favorites. Very neat equestrian Trail that is fun to hike through.
Awesome place for youth camping and amazing trails. We take our cub scouts biannually to camp here and it makes for an awesome camp experience!
