Did not get to go mountain biking but we did hike the trail and it was fun but with a bike I can see it being amazing. There are also plaques at regular intervals that tell the history of the place thus turning a hike into a story time interactive activity
I already came to this park at least a dozen time since it first opened to the public and this is probably one of THE BEST places Whitfield County! My first visit was in November 2021. Hiking to the very top can be tiring and exhausting but it is worth it!
Best views in Whitfield County! Highly recommend for day hikers and intermediate/advanced mountain bikers. The hiking trails at the bottom are well graded and easy to walk in tennis shoes. They have some moderate hills, but are very nice. If you walk up to the summit, I’d recommend hiking boots.
Very popular especially on weekends- bikers, hikers, runners and people walking dogs. Has a cool community vibe. On weekdays and when there’s inclement weather it’s a great place to go for a quiet hike. There are lots of trails to choose from with varying lengths and difficulty. The maps are invaluable!
