Confirmed from Roger Williams Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

So worth all the hype about this place! They have everything inside. You can simply go for a walk or spend the entire day having all sorts of fun! Parking is free all over the park and there’s something for everyone!

One of my go-to spots whenever I'm in the area! I love reading and walking along the lakes. In the spring and summer times, the park hosts Food Truck Fridays which offer a variety of food, drinks, and desserts.

Roger Williams Park is an absolute gem in Providence! The grounds are beautifully maintained, perfect for a peaceful walk, family picnic, or scenic drive. The zoo is fantastic, especially for kids, and the botanical center is stunning year-round.

Great place to go while in Providence for all ages! I took my son here and we went on the carousel, the train ride and then played at the playground. They have a little concession stand with ice cream and drinks which was great.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
