Confirmed from Roosevelt Hiking & Mtb Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Roosevelt Hiking & Mtb Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (37 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Fun and easy to navigate. All the trails loop back to the main road that accesses the flying field. Fast, mostly xc type singletrack with mild elevation change and some rocks and roots. A few creek crossings and wooden bridges.

★★★★☆ — Johnathan , Oct 2019

I found out about the trails behind the Storybook Hill Petting Zoo roughly three months ago. I'm absolutely addicted to these trails. There is so much to see and do and there are so many different trails to go on. I normally don't see many people on these trails, mainly bikers.

★★★★★ — Tasha , Jul 2025

Lots of woodsy trails, short steep climbs. Lots of trails packed in a small area. Good job by the trail builders, you can keep moving the whole time.

★★★★☆ — B , Oct 2020

Awesome Community maintained trail. Be careful in the rain it's real slick, and find an arrow to make sure you're heading the right direction on a trail 😆

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
