Confirmed from Rooster Rock Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Rooster Rock Trailhead
Stay on the trail and please make sure you pack out everything you brought in.
A great place for a nice a cool hike in a pretty peaceful forest. The view at the top is worth the moderately steep second half. Went before Memorial Day weekend so there wasn't much in bloom but that made finding what WAS in bloom so much better.
Well maintained trail, easy to find off hwy(if you're paying attention) pretty steep but straightforward hike comes to an overlook. The actual rock would require climbing skills and ropes to ascend but otherwise the hike is a great workout.
Very steep hike. About 2,000 feet elevation gain in 2 miles. Nice to push through. Great views and huge rock at the top.
