Confirmed from Rose Hill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🐕 dog-walking favorite 4 mentions

“Only 1 trashcan at the beginning of the trail so if you are one of the few responsible dog walkers and pick up after your pet then you have a long walk carrying a bag of poo.”

Well maintained walking trails along with some Civil War history. There is also a pavilion, bathrooms, and a small playground for kids ages 5-12. Leashes dogs are allowed. Plenty of parking and lots of beautiful scenery.

★★★★★ — Mr. , Jun 2022

Rose Hill Park is an easy beginner level hiking trail. 90% of the trail is tarred and chipped with 2 trails that loop through the woods that place one back on the main trails. The trail itself is a 1.1 mile loop with only about 75 feet of elevation gain.

Great place to walk. Nice clean bathrooms. Alot of dog poop on the trail. Only 1 trashcan at the beginning of the trail so if you are one of the few responsible dog walkers and pick up after your pet then you have a long walk carrying a bag of poo. That might be why there is dog poop all over the trail.

Very nice little park! Don't know how we didn't know about this little gem all the years we've lived here. A fun little "rock" playground my daughter loved, and a very nice trail around the park with kiosks informing you about the civil war battle on the premises.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
