Confirmed from Round Island Beach Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This park has water access on both the ocean and river sides of the barrier island. On the ocean side their is a restroom, water fountains, picnic shelters with tables and roofs. and a play ground for kids. The ocean beach has a life guard shelter and a wide sand beach.

Stopped at the Round Island Beach park yesterday. It was very clean. Parking was super easy. Beach area is really wide and there are plenty of shells for those looking for some. Closest place to eat is a few miles away. So you better pack your own snacks and beverages. There were lots of people fishing.

Nice place for a little walk. We saw a couple manatees, some forested areas, some mangroves, climbed an observation tower to view inter coastal waters. Beautiful spot that I’ll visit again.

There are two loops, the one on the right has the look out tower and is beautiful but short. The one on the left is long but less exciting. Both worth doing but not necessarily repeating.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
