Confirmed from Russ Nature Reserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Dog-friendly park featuring trails and a playground, plus butterfly gardens and beehives.

This park took a direct hit from a tornado on Memorial Day of 2019. A lot of work has been done to clean up and improve the park. The Russ house is gone now, but the PlayScape has been greatly improved. The trails have also been greatly improved with crushed rock and stairs. The park has a very nice network of trails.
Very nice and well kept reserve! Trails are top notch for walking or running. Features include a community garden, a lovely playground, a birdwatching blind, some beehives, and modern restrooms. I'd love to visit again once the vegetation grows in.

This is a fantastic park! Lots of walking paths, a real restrooms with hot running water, a butterfly garden and one of the most creative playgrounds I've ever seen! It's very dog friendly as long as you keep them on leashes. The playground is made entirely out of large sticks and logs.
