Confirmed from Koogler Wetland Prairie Reserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Secluded wetland preserve with trails, boardwalks and an observation deck, plus a beaver creek.
What runners say about Koogler Wetland Prairie Reserve
“No matter the season, we always see beautiful landscapes, interesting animals, and surprising plants.”
“Nice, easy walk, making it a good trail for those who don't want a difficult trek.”
The hiking trail has been improved eliminating wet areas. The boardwalk is very nice and one can see many birds, butterflies, and wildflowers. It is not too busy which is something I like. The use of this park has increased since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Really nice, smallish nature spot to take kids or pets. Well groomed walking paths (lots of poison ivy on the sides of the paths that are closer to the entrance, so stick to the paths). 2 nice boardwalks crossing the swamp area. Lots of flowers in bloom. Multiple small access trails lead right up to the small creek.
This was my first stop in the 3, of the several, Beavercreek Wetland Reserves. Only downfall, NO sign telling you what park it is at the entrance like a majority of the others have. This is a well marked path and beautiful. Mostly shaded.
Nice, easy walk, making it a good trail for those who don't want a difficult trek. A lot of the path is via a boardwalk, so your shoes aren't likely to get muddy, unless it has been raining a lot. Part of the path parallels a nice creek with what looks like remnants of a beaver dam.

“The walk itself is relatively flat with lots of trail on wooden walkways just off the ground because this is a wetlands.”
“Unpaved parking is available but there are no restrooms.”
“A lot of effort has been given to make this vibrant marsh accessible.”
