Confirmed from Stokes Nature Center's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Stokes Nature Center

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (76 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“A fun nature walk to get up to the center on a well maintained trail, beautiful views and fun places to explore.”

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Beautiful and family friendly.”

The kids loved exploring. We thought they would be done in less than an hour but they played happily 3 hours before we dragged them away. My only complaint is that the parking area is far away. It's a long walk for littles and you have to cross a highway with no crosswalk. Feels like playing chicken.

One of my favorite spots in the valley to go for a trail run or walk with the family. There are rattle snakes in the summer, though, so watch out!

★★★★★ — Garrett , Jul 2019

It is really nice place to cool down after hiking the Logan River trail. They also have some things for kids to do.

★★★★★ — Jorden , Jun 2018

Perfect place to go for a Preschool-4th grade field trip. A fun nature walk to get up to the center on a well maintained trail, beautiful views and fun places to explore.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
