Saint Edward State Park has always been a favorite for our family starting with the awesome playground that looks like a medieval castle with labyrinth and towers to the Groto and the several trails from easy to moderate and difficult. Limited bike access and pets on a leash.
Beautiful forested park with miles of well-marked trails winding through lush PNW greenery. Former Catholic seminary with impressive brick architecture—now serves as event space and houses a brewery. Trails range from easy strolls to more challenging routes that lead down to Lake Washington's shoreline.
This review focuses on trail experience, which was a pure delight. When driving into the park, stay right and park near trail head. Discover Pass or paid parking. Follow the trail that winds down and around towards the lake. Charming winding trail is narrow in places above a ravine. Twisty trees, tree root stair cases.
Beautiful and tranquil park located in Kenmore with excellent hiking trails and views of Lake Washington. There is a historical seminary converted into a hotel named “The Lodge” that has a restaurant, bar, and quality art pieces displayed like a museum gallery.
